Rabbits for Sale
If you are looking to buy a rabbit as a pet why not consider adopting a rescue rabbit. In Northern NSW Australia there is a great Rabbit Sanctuary.
Boy or Girl Cockatiel
A female cockatiel will make just as good a pet as a male cockatiel. People often think they must get a boy bird to get a talking bird. There is some truth in that. Male cockatiels do talk more readily than a female cockatiel. Is talking the most important thing to you about a pet bird? From my experience the friendship and love from your pet cockatiel is really what most people are looking for in a pet. Cockatiels are also known as wieros in WA and as quarrions on NSW.

Treating Candida in Baby Cockatiels
Candida in Cockatiels
Candida is a form of thrush or yeast infection. You can find Clever Cockatiels in the Cockatiel Breeders Category on The Pet Directory.It can occur in baby cockatiels or other hand reared parrot babies due to a few things including but not limited to:
* food at incorrect temperature
* feeding on top of a full crop (not waiting long enough between feeds for food to digest)
* germs from non-sterile feeding implements
* babies not kept at correct temperature, humidity, degree of darkness etc.
My vet suggested using Nilstat. You give 3 drops from an eyedropper directly into the beak. Do this 3 times a day until condition improves.

Nilstat is used to treat a condition called oral candidiasis or thrush. This is an infection in the mouth caused by the fungus Candida and is marked by sore, creamy-yellow, raised patches in the mouth.
Nilstat is also used in infants to treat gut infections caused by Candida.
Nilstat belongs to a group of medicines called antifungal agents. It works by damaging the cell wall of the Candida fungus, causing it to die. Nilstat Oral Drops only work inside the mouth or gut. The amount of Nilstat absorbed into the bloodstream is minute and therefore is not effective for treating any other infections in the body.
